|
|
Notch Ear's Sacrifice. Months ago, the administrators of Fox Forest invited me to announce the arrival of my book when it was published. Well my novel, Notch Ear's Sacrifice, is finally out! This true-to-life tale tells of two red fox brothers, their struggle to survive, and how their brotherly love is strained when they both fall for the same vixen. But the real test comes when MOONLIGHT is expecting kits and NOTCH EAR cannot find food for his mate. While making his way to a human neighborhood where he can scavenge food, he is struck by a car. Will he survive to help raise his kits? Can they survive without him? In the tradition of Jack London's White Fang, this book presents life as the foxes experience it.
I teach children ages 9-12. They loved this story when I read it aloud, but of course, their teacher wrote the story. Go to www.NotchEarsSacrifice.com to find out where you can get the book.
By the way, special thanks to Fox Forest for making so much information available regarding Vulpes vulpes. I tried to make the characters in my novel behave as red foxes truly do--mostly. Toward that end, this web site proved invaluable.

Thanks so much for letting us know. I checked on my bookstores website, and it does look like they have it in stock. I plan on going down tomorrow to look at it, and most likely buy it. It sounds like it will really have my interest. _________________ http://cloudkicker.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Well when I checked my bookstore didn't have it, but I ordered it on Amazon.com. It just came in the mail today, and plan digging into reading it right now. I'll give a review on how I liked it once done. I'm excited to start it. _________________ http://cloudkicker.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Thanks chrisno51 for working so hard to find the book. I hope you like it. I have not made any effort yet to get the book into brick and mortar bookstores. Currently, it is available from Amazon.com, CreateSpace.com, and lulu.com, all of which can be linked from my website: NotchEarsSacrifice.com
As soon as school is out (I'm a teacher), I'll be marketing to book stores near me, which is in the Denver, Colorado USA area.
I'd love to get the book into stores in the UK, but have no direct contacts there. Any suggestions anyone? _________________ Todd Lederman |

I dont know any direct links to UK but Alopex might be able to help but i will be to help you on collecting data on opinions toward your book by opening up a Forum post in this website about it. You can check on it any time you want to.We should be dicussing about events, characters, plots,etc...
But first I'll need your permission to continue... _________________ Sorry Fox by nature |

Todd, I bought your book thru Amazon and thought it was wonderful! It was very entertaining if bittersweet, and definitely seemed like it could be true to the lives of real Colorado foxes. And it's not *just* a children's story, although certainly appropriate for them....my 85 year old mother loved it too! |
